Beyond the Timetable | Rethinking School Priorities with AI
GOOD ENOUGH
ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH.
Beyond the Timetable | Rethinking School Priorities with AI
What if the timetable reflected what your school actually values — instead of limiting what is possible?
Better Choices. Brighter Days.
Register now →LESS FRUSTRATION
Identify avoidable friction and hidden compromises.
BETTER OPPORTUNITIES
Make room for students, teachers and different pathways.
MORE FLEXIBILITY
Challenge old assumptions and compare new options.
A BRIGHTER SCHOOL DAY
Use time to support the priorities that matter.
SAME STUDENTS.
SAME STAFF.
A BRIGHTER SCHOOL DAY.
The timetable is more than an administrative task. It is one of the most practical tools a school has to create meaningful time for teaching, collaboration and flexible student pathways.
Hear why we’re inviting school leaders to rethink what’s possible.
Secure your place →START WITH YOUR SCHOOL’S PRIORITIES. NOT THE SOFTWARE.
This workshop isn’t about replacing your timetabling system or handing decisions over to AI. It is about asking better questions, making trade-offs visible and exploring how AI can help school leaders investigate options responsibly.
REAL SCHOOL PROBLEMS.
PRACTICAL EXPLORATION.
Join Nathan Reynolds and Angie Hammond for an interactive session built around the realities of school leadership and timetabling. You’ll see a live demonstration using Banksia College, a fictional school with realistic staff, subject, room and timetable constraints — without exposing real student or staff information.
You’ll work through a guided challenge, compare possible scenarios, and consider what needs checking before any recommendation is used.
WHAT WILL YOU TAKE BACK TO SCHOOL?
You’ll leave with a way to ask clearer questions about the timetable, practical AI prompts, a constraints-and-trade-offs worksheet and a starting point for a small school-based experiment.
We’ll also discuss the limitations of AI. A generated suggestion is not automatically a feasible or approved timetable; the rules, impacts and outputs still need human validation.
What to bring
A laptop, your existing school timetable as a PDF, and one genuine timetabling challenge you’d like to explore. Please avoid entering identifiable student or staff information into public AI tools.
